Sales Engineer

Role & responsibilities

MARKET AND CUSTOMER ANALYSIS

• Identify new business opportunity by analysing market trends and customer needs.
• Collect and report data on competitors activities, pricing strategies and product performance.
• Share customer feedback to drive product improvements and service enhancements.

CLIENT RELATION MANAGEMENT

• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure timely closure of deals and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Meet or exceed sales targets set for the assigned region.

PROPOSAL AND DOCUMENTATION

• Prepare and deliver accurate sales quotations, proposals, and contracts.
• Ensure proper entry must be done of all sales activities, customer interactions and feedback in CRM software.

TRAVEL AND TIME MANAGEMENT

• Plan and manage time efficiently to cover the assigned territory effectively.
• Be prepared to travel extensively for customer meetings and site visits.

COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING

• Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines and ethical standards.
• Submit accurate sales report, forecasts and expense reports to reporting manager.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• MBA in Sales & Marketing is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial product sales, preferably in capital equipment or machinery.
• Experience in B2B sales, client handling, and business development in the manufacturing sector.
