Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

As the Head of - Corporate Lending (Origination), you will play a key role in driving business growth in the startup/emerging business segment. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, conducting credit risk assessments, and offering structured finance solutions to meet the unique needs of these businesses. You will also manage existing client relationships, ensuring the delivery of tailored debt funding solutions and driving overall business volume.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and onboard potential clients, while managing relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term business growth.

- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis and risk assessments for new clients, ensuring sound lending decisions.

- Develop and present innovative debt funding solutions, including structured finance products, that align with the needs of clients.

- Gain sector-specific insights through client visits, research, and on-the-ground analysis to strengthen service offerings and maintain competitive advantage.

- Lead negotiations and execution of both plain vanilla and structured finance transactions, collaborating with legal, investor, and other stakeholders.

Performance Metrics:

- Regularly track and analyze financial and operational performance of clients, ensuring accurate credit documentation and maintaining sector-specific records.

- Assist in the structuring and execution of structured finance and debt capital market transactions, working closely with the capital market sales teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA or an equivalent qualification.

- 10 - 18 years of experience in banking/financial services, with expertise in startup debt funding, supply chain finance, wholesale banking, Commercial Finance, or related areas.

Must Have:

- Strong understanding of corporate and credit analysis

- Expertise in structured finance, with proficiency in Excel

- Familiarity with legal frameworks and regulations (RBI, SEBI, Companies Act)

- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
