To centrally manage the RBD expansion agenda for its strategic direction, timely execution and for its process hygiene. A crucial part of the role will be to lead Data Analytics for the Retail Business Development Team by creating and sustaining a data centric approach, defining business potential for all cities and sites, automating the entire process and aiding viable New Stores for both Pantaloons as well as StyleUp.
Accountability
Supporting Actions
Expansion agenda leveraging data analytics
1. Conduct catchment studies for all new store proposals and predicting the NSO top-line and validation with actuals
2. Collaboration with external agency for catchment studies and site selection
3. Define future expansion plans for Pantaloons and Style Up (Cities and micro markets) backed by data led insights and predictive models
4. Continuously refining the existing machine learning tools. Fine-tune predictability of potential sites for NSO as well as renewals/renovations
5. Recommending renewal/renovation options based on data-led future potential
Process control
1. Tracking target v/s achievement of NSOs and LOIs in all zones for both brands. Tracking of hit-&-miss ratio
2. Engagement with function heads (Projects, Space Planning, Commercial, VM) to drive weekly agenda and site readiness
3. Creating IRRs for NSO and renovation capex decisions
4. Ensuring inter-department flow of information and decision-making for swift completion thereby crunching signing to launch timelines. Specifically, from RBD to Design to Management approvals to Legal clearances to Finance interventions to Project work to launch
5. Acting as a central custodian for RBD SOP
6. Central tracking of lease renewals, SD recovery and OC rebate targets
7. Monthly/Quarterly updates on portfolio to CBO
Business Intelligence & MIS
1. Create central bank for competitor store network and monitoring their expansion plans
2. Weekly dashboards to track targets on all aspects related to site readiness (both renovation doors and new stores)
3. Maintain PT/Style Up network databases
4. Curate and maintain database on key malls and developers
5. Maintain central database on key demographic parameters of cities in India
Digitization
1. Adoption and upkeep of NSO portal for seamless approvals of new store proposals
2. Automation of critical processes related to site readiness
Stakeholder Management
1. Assist RBD Head in strategizing for expansion
2. Weekly engagement with function heads (Projects, Space Planning, Commercial, VM)
3. Managing the relationship calendar (Developer and Team)
4. Creating and executing incentive/engagement Initiatives to keep the team motivated
