Assistant Key Accounts Manager (Contract Role: 1 Year)

Purpose/Mission

The Assistant Key Account Manager (Asst. KAM) is responsible for driving topline revenue, market share, and profitability for assigned key accounts and export partners. This role focuses on building strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring seamless sales operations, and collaborating across functions to achieve business goals. Additionally, the Asst. KAM will play a crucial role in growing the Kids & Export Business category, optimizing sell-in and sell-out strategies, and executing key initiatives aligned with Adidas brand priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Sell-In & Sell-Out Management

  • Achieve assigned sales targets (monthly, quarterly, and annual) through new business development and account management.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize sell-in and sell-out for assigned accounts.

Export Business Management

  • Oversee export accounts, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to market-specific strategies.
  • Work closely with export partners to identify growth opportunities and streamline business processes.

Kids Business Growth

  • Drive the growth of the Kids Business category, identifying market opportunities and increasing market penetration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to curate and implement seasonal assortments for Kids Business.

Stakeholder & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and internal stakeholders (Sales Ops, Finance, Marketing, Logistics, Sourcing).
  • Ensure seamless execution of business priorities through effective collaboration.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams to align on business objectives and execute seasonal priorities.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of communication and coordination between functions.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for sell-in and secondary sales performance.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Order & Inventory Management

  • Ensure timely order processing, confirmations, cancellations, and delivery tracking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams for on-time product availability.

Retail & Market Insights

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor movements.
  • Translate insights into actionable business strategies to drive revenue growth.

Account Growth & Strategy Execution

  • Drive channel partner expansion by onboarding new partners and strengthening Adidas' business share with existing partners.
  • Execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue and profitability.

✔ Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and attention to detail.

Experience & Educational Background

📌 Experience:

  • 5-8 years in Sales & Backend Operations.
  • Preferably from footwear, apparel/fashion, or FMCG industries.
  • Exposure to sports, key accounts, distribution management, and multi-brand retail channels is a plus.

📌 Education:

  • Graduate/MBA in Business/Marketing from a reputed institute.
