About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Banking & Finance Lawyer to join our growing team in Mumbai/Delhi.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex and challenging transactions, advising leading financial institutions and corporations on a wide range of banking and finance matters.

Responsibilities:

- Advise clients on various banking and finance matters, including secured lending, syndicated loans, project finance, structured finance, debt restructuring, and regulatory compliance.

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transaction documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, and other related documents.

- Conduct legal due diligence and prepare due diligence reports.

- Advise clients on regulatory matters related to banking and finance, including regulations issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other relevant regulatory bodies.

(Experience in regulatory matters is a significant asset.)

- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in banking and finance law and regulations.

- Collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas to provide comprehensive legal advice to clients.

- Actively participate in the development of the Banking & Finance department by contributing to knowledge sharing, business development initiatives, and team building activities.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

- Manage client matters effectively and efficiently.

- Conduct legal research and analysis.

The Successful Applicant:

- Years of Experience: 4-9 years of relevant experience in banking and finance law

Bar Admission: Admitted to the Bar in India.

Education: LL.B degree required; LL.M, MAS, and/or degree preferred.

Experience: Experience working in a reputable law firm is essential.
