Scrum Master : Specialist

The Nasdaq Analytics Product and Governance team is looking for a passionate Specialist, Scrum Champion (Scrum Master) with a focus on promoting Agile principles and practices within the organization, as well as managing projects and processes across their domain, to join the Bangalore technology center in India. We are now looking for a exceptional team member in our Bangalore office to partner directly with our Technology colleagues in the evolution of our product suite. You will be responsible for managing in Bangalore.

With this position we offer:

Join the product and governance organization within Nasdaq Analytics. The main objective our team is build SaaS and data solutions for the Institutional Investment community. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members and colleagues. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery and support of product enhancements for our Nasdaq eVestment product line.

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Scrum Champion (Scrum Master) who also handles project and process management, your daily responsibilities will encompass various aspects of Agile and project management practices:

• Organizing Scrum Events: Organize all Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Removing Impediments: Actively work to identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that may hinder the teams progress and productivity.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication regarding project status, risks, and deliverables.

Furthermore, you will:

• Initiative Planning and Tracking: Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to outline initiatives, track progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet the relevant goals and timelines.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve Agile processes and practices, implementing best practices and ensuring that the team adheres to Agile methodologies.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate these to stakeholders to ensure they are managed effectively.
• Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on team and initiative performance, including metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and progress against milestones.
• Collaboration: Foster a collaborative working environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and a positive attitude among all team members.

By meticulously managing these responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives and the continuous improvement of processes within the organization. Your expertise in both Scrum and project management will drive the team towards achieving their goals and maintaining high standards of excellence.

We expect you to have:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Project Manager, or Scrum Master.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• A keen understanding of the Scrum development framework and how to leverage it.
• Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science, finance, or business.

It would be great if you :

• Are an expert in Jira/Confluence
• Have knowledge of global finance
• Have experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, etc.
• Understand the AWS technology ecosystem
