Senior Software Developer Specialist - Java (Architecture)

Join the development organization for Nasdaq Boardvantage. The main objective for the development team in Bangalore is to build state of the art governance software for Boards and Leadership teams. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Your role and responsibilities:

As a Java architect, your focus will be architecture, design & development and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

• Architect, design & develop, troubleshoot and implement rich internet application software for Boardvantage product.
• Provide high-level architecture and design models to developers and help implement them through detailed design and code reviews
• Participate and drive technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, help management team with project estimates, schedules, and code reviews.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
• Help conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code

What We Expect:

• Have at least 9+ years of overall experience and at least 2 years of experience in design & architecture, end to end understanding of software development life cycle.
• Expertise in writing server side code using JAVA/JEE, Spring & Hibernate.
• Expertise understanding of MYSQL & Postgres database, database concepts and should be able to write complicated database queries
• Understanding of SAAS platforms, Any cloud technology and good understanding of Kubernetes
• Able to communicate expertly with internal and external collaborators.
• Be eager to learn new technologies and best practices in data engineering by working with a world-class data team.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
• Bachelors/Masters in computer science or equivalent degree

It would be great if you:

• Knowledge of MS Azure or Certification is a plus.
• Good understanding of Agile concepts, Scaled Agile
• Knowledge of React or any other UI programming is preferred.
