Power BI Developer - Senior Specialist

Nasdaq is seeking a Power BI Business Intelligence Developer who will work on projects across our Global Technology team. You will be responsible for building innovative dashboards that push the limits of Power BIs features, leveraging all its advanced capabilities. With this position we offer

Join the Data & Insights Team for Nasdaq Global Technology. The main objective for the development team in Bangalore is to build pioneering BI Dashboards for various teams. As our new member, you will work with a group of hard-working and expert team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of data driven Insights which can be harnessed for Decision Making.

Your role and responsibilities:

You will be part of multi-functional teams across the globe, delivering critical BI Dashboards to various collaborators. You will be responsible for understanding the KPIs & Metrics which businesses need to make decisions and help render them in intuitive dashboards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong expert team delivering complex technology solutions to international clients. You will work with and learn from domain experts, and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress within the Insights team. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Furthermore, you will:

• Design, develop, solve and implement rich visualizations & dashboards.
• Take high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and code
• Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews.
• Proactively determine and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
• Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code

We expect you to have

• Over all experience of 10+yrs with relevant experience in Power BI development for at least 5 - 7 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Experience building Semantic Models.
• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing query performance
• Understanding of SAAS platforms is a plus
• Knack of adhering to best design practices
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Github / Gitlab.

Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science.

It would be great if you have

• Familiarity with Databricks as a data source for Power BI
• Knowledge of writing Python Code and Visualizations.
• Experience using Power Automate, Power Apps & other technologies which complement & enrich Power BI Dashboard functionality
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure is a plus.
