Deputy Manager - MEP Design

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.

8-15 years of experience in MEP design and engineering within the real estate industry.

• Review and analyze Design Basis Report (DBR) and calculations, providing comprehensive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Finalize HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), PHE (Public Health Engineering), and Fire Fighting concepts, ensuring optimal system functionality and efficiency.
• Review and check HVAC, PHE, Fire Protection System (FPS) General Flow Chart (GFC) with detailed design and checklist, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
• Examine schematic drawings and sleeve details, offering thorough reviews and suggestions for enhancement.
• Conduct concept-level budget estimation with payback period analysis for additional capital expenditure related to sustainable measures.
• Assess and review PHE, Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Fire Fighting, and HVAC tenders and specifications, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare data sheets and conduct technical bid analysis, offering techno-commercial proposals for Chiller, STP, WTP, OWC, mechanical car parking, and vertical transportation systems.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings for tender queries resolutions and finalize HVAC, PHE, Fire Fighting, STP, and WTP vendors.
• Review STP schematics, tank general arrangements, and builder works drawings from STP vendors, providing valuable input and coordination with the project team.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, architects, contracts, and project management teams, ensuring effective coordination and communication throughout the design process.
• Review technical submittals and shop drawings, ensuring adherence to quality and specification standards for PHE, Fire Fighting, and HVAC systems.
• Perform inspections to evaluate the quality, specifications, and workmanship of PHE, Fire Fighting, and HVAC installations.
• Coordinate with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) consultants for building certification rating and other energy efficiency measures, contributing to sustainable building practices.
• Review sustainability measures and participate in master plan modeling, incorporating environmentally conscious design elements into projects.
• Lead and guide the AutoCAD drafting team, providing mentorship and expertise in MEP design.
• Conduct vertical transportation traffic calculations and selections, collaborating with the architectural team to ensure seamless integration.
• Resolve on-site design challenges, offering innovative and practical solutions to optimize MEP systems.
• Prepare a comprehensive Mechanical Services summary for Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) and statutory approvals, providing essential support for mechanical services compliance.
