Education Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification
- Develop and implement strata control plans to ensure the stability of underground excavations
- Conduct regular inspections of mine workings to identify potential strata hazards
- Monitor and analyze ground conditions to assess stability and identify areas of concern
- Recommend and implement appropriate support systems to mitigate strata-related risks
- Collaborate with mine planning and geotechnical teams to optimize strata control measures
- Provide technical guidance and support to mining personnel on strata-related issues
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and assessments to identify potential ground control challenges
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in strata control
- Prepare comprehensive reports on strata conditions, risks, and control measures
