Sr. Manager - QA (Civil)

Purpose/Objective

Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing Quality strategy for supply construction and commissioning of ongoing greenfield & brownfield projects. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure comprehensive Quality Assurance plans are developed and implemented for the project including the execution of the appropriate health checks during the entire project lifecycle. Manages all aspects of Quality on the all running project of the company including supervising assigned quality resources and ensuring that the Quality Management system is implemented at all sites of the projects Lead and develop the QMS to set up best business practices for entire project comprising project management, project control, engineering, procurement, to optimize the Inspection costs for Supplies and Field inspection of various packages

Key Responsibilities of Role

Responsibilities - To monitor Site QC Engineer ‐In‐charges operation and activities. To maintain High quality standards at all project sites ensuring quality culture within the group. To ensure correct design mix of concrete at all project sites and to check that concreting procedures are followed as per the check list. To ensure shuttering and reinforcement details are followed as per RCC consultants drawings and instructions. To ensure that check list in respect of finishing items like masonry, plastering, tiling, plumbing, waterproofing, etc. are followed. Apprise Business Head, status of implementation of Quality Plan and any major deviations with respect to Quality with regard to laid down norms. To impart training to the selected staff and to upgrade their engineering knowledge from time to time. To intimate all concerned regarding the list of deviations in their project and to make them arrange to rectify the same. To advice all concerned regarding the quality and environmental standards to be maintained in the materials and services in the company projects. To advise all concerned regarding the New materials which can be adopted in our construction work and to encourage product innovations. To analyze any major post construction defects and to suggest solutions and remedial majors for the future projects. Spearhead all Quality assurance activities including leading multidisciplinary QA / QC Team (Civil, MEP, Structural Steel, Electrical, Mechanical Systems) for implementation of Site QMS. Authority - Approval of shuttering and reinforcement work as per RCC consultants drawings and instructions. To analyze repetitive major customer complaints and plan corrective Preventive action for the same. To analyze Nonconformance at construction site and plan corrective and preventive actions for the same. To ensure project execution job meets the specifications and drawings. To coordinate with Project Heads ensure settlement of external complaints if any.

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of relevant IS and other Codes,Quality Assurance and Quality Control,Quality Management System,Technically sound - Field as well as Laboratory tests

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualification - Should have at least 15 to 20 years of experience in project execution out of which minimum 15 years should be in QA / QC.
• He should have held senior positions reporting to top management for at least 8 to 10 years. Technical Requirement BE / B. Tech‐ (Civil) Must, M Tech‐ Civil Qualification like Lead Auditor, Green Building Professional etc. will be added advantage.
• Should have worked with erecting high rise towers at least some of them should be not less than 20 to 60 stories.
