Role & responsibilities

• TeachingProfessors prepare lectures, syllabi, and labs, and grade assignments and exams. They also advise students outside of class and research new teaching methods.
• ResearchProfessors conduct research, publish academic papers, and contribute to their field of specialization. They may also write proposals for funding agencies and draft papers for academic journals.
• Administrative tasksProfessors may participate in committees, ensure internships and placements for students, and build industry partnerships.
• Student mentorshipProfessors guide students through academic challenges and offer insights into their educational and career paths. They may also supervise graduate research projects and provide feedback and support.
• Professional development Professors may engage in professional development activities and be responsible for mentoring, managing, and supervising other staff.
