Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced AWS Platform Engineer. The candidate must be able to create variety of Infra as code on AWS that will be leveraged by Data Engineeer Team.This role requires expertise in Python and a deep understanding of AWS services to design, implement, and maintain scalable,

 

Key Responsibilities :
*Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small, high-performing team (two-pizza squad), fostering collaboration, innovation, and best practices.
*Serverless Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, stable, and secure serverless architectures using AWS services.
*Python Development: Develop robust, maintainable code using Python, applying Object-Oriented Programming principles and writing comprehensive unit tests.
*AWS Service Integration: Utilize a broad range of AWS services to build and optimize serverless workflows, ensuring seamless integration across components.
*Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for applications and infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch and other relevant tools, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
*Continuous Improvement: Collaborate closely with the team to refine and improve architectures, processes, and tools, ensuring high standards of code quality and platform reliability.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:
*5+ years of relevant experience Senior Platform Engineer.
*Ability to create scalable stable serverless architecture/design.
*Expert in Python (Object Oriented) development.
*Expert in writing Python Unit Tests.
*Extensive use of the following AWS services : S3 ,Lambda ,Glue ,SQS ,IAM ,DynamoDB ,CloudWatch ,Event Bridge ,Step Functions ,EMR (inc. serverless) ,Redshift (inc. serverless) ,API Gateway and/or AppSync.
*AWS LakeFormation, DMS, DataSync, Appflow
*Fluent with REST API.
*Experience with CFM and CDK.
*Knowledge of Data Engineering principles using the services above is important .
*Previous experience with Azure AD and OAuth2.
*Previous experience in BDD (Business Driven Development) testing (or Integration Testing).
*Optionally, previous experience with Node.js/React development.
