QA Manager

We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead our quality assurance team and drive both manual and automated testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in test automation with strong leadership abilities to enhance our QA processes and ensure delivery of high-quality software product.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and other testing frameworks, along with strong leadership skills to streamline and enhance our existing QA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Process Management:
Lead and mentor the QA team, providing technical guidance and career development support.
Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Streamline and improve the existing QA processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Manage resource allocation and capacity planning for QA initiatives
Implement best practices for QA documentation, testing procedures, and reporting.

Technical Leadership:
Drive automation testing strategy using modern frameworks including Playwright and Cypress.
Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
Oversee the design and implementation of automated test frameworks
Guide the team in maintaining and expanding test coverage
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and quality
Experience with performance testing and security testing.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.

Project Management:
Use JIRA and other task management tools to track testing progress and bug reports.
Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Business Manager for better requirement gathering and scoping of tasks.
Ensure proper documentation of test cases, test plans, and test execution results.
Identify gaps in requirements and work proactively to resolve ambiguities.

Bug Tracking & Quality Assurance:
Monitor, track, and prioritize bugs using bug tracking software.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
Establish quality assurance benchmarks to measure software performance and stability.
Define QA metrics and reports for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

QA Expertise:
6+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.
Strong knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and other automation tools.
Experience in writing and maintaining test automation scripts.

Leadership & Process Management:
Proven experience in leading a QA team and improving processes.
Ability to define and implement QA best practices.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Technical & Analytical Skills:
Good knowledge of unit testing and software quality standards.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Experience in using JIRA, Confluence, and other task/bug tracking tools.

Communication & Documentation:
Strong skills in test planning, documentation, and reporting.
Ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Experience in requirement gathering and task scoping.
