Project Purchase Manager- API/Oncology manufacturing experience

Role & responsibilities :

• Key starting materials sourcing for existing APIs/Oncology and New APIs- Local(Domestic) and Imports.
• To receive the Purchase requisition from user department for consumables and capital items and warehouse for production raw materials and handle the procurement of the company.
• Check for the approved vendor in case of Raw materials and float an enquiry to 2 or more of the vendors. If the item is Key Starting raw material which has to be sourced for the first time then, co­ordinate with QA,Engineering and R&D for analysis of it and check if the source is reliable to be approved vendor or not before releasing the order to them.
• On the receipt of quotation from different vendors, prepare a comparative statement and negotiate with the most competitive vendor in terms of price, quality and delivery time.
• Vendor Qualification activities.
• Raise the PO and take the approval from authorized signatory and forward the PO to vendor, warehouse and the finance department.
• Co-ordinate with Project team to ensure that suppliers related to project material or equipments are delivered at site as per the requirement.
• Follow-up with respective vendors for solvents supply and other raw materials supply as per required production schedule.
• Packing materials sourcing.
• Be in continuous follow up with vendor to get the delivery of the ordered items on time with correct documents like COA, Invoice, Delivery Challan etc.,
• The Projects handling discussion with project team on BOQs and getting of quotations, price negotiation with vendors for Equipment's procurement.
• The Payment follow-up with finance department for payment release to respective vendors.
• If the material is dispatched from outstation, follow up with the freight forwarder to check the status of exact delivery date and also co-ordinate with the Finance department for the issuance of E-waybill and transporter payment.
