Head - Costing
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
2. Oversee the preparation and analysis of manufacturing costs, including standard costs, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold.
3. Lead the development and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) costing models, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
4. Provide leadership and guidance to the Costing, Manufacturing Costing, BOM Cost, MIS, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis and reporting.
6. Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budget analyses to senior management and key stakeholders.
7. Conduct regular reviews of financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
9. Develop and maintain management information systems (MIS) to provide timely and accurate information for decision-making purposes.
10. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline costing and financial planning processes.
11. Manage ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
2. 10-15 years of experience in costing, financial planning & analysis, and manufacturing operations, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
3. Strong understanding of costing methodologies, manufacturing processes, and inventory management.
4. Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and ERP systems. Experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
6. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and strategic planning.
8. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
10. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
