L2 Application Support (Linux, SQL and Hadoop)-Mumbai/Pune

We are looking for Application Support Engineer of L1/L2 role for Pune and Mumbai location.

Working from office (no work from home/remote access).

24/7 Rotational Shifts:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2-6 years (L1/L2) of Telecom experience in managed services operations handling system automation, administration, and support, particularly within telecom operations.
• Preferably to have experience in the Core Telecom Network Domain and knowledge of telecom networks.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix operating systems for system administration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop systems and MySQL database management is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with telecom networks such as GGSN, IMS Networks, LTE networks, telecom mediation, and business intelligence systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Excel, SharePoint, and process flow tools like Visio.
• Strong experience with MySQL, including database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

What the candidate is expected to do:

• Provide L2 monitoring and support for telecom systems, Linux/Unix OS, Hadoop infrastructure, and MySQL databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including outages and performance degradation.
• Perform routine maintenance (patches, updates, configuration changes) and manage system configurations.
• Escalate complex issues to respective support team or third-party vendors.
• Implement and monitor security measures; conduct regular security audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams (DevOps, network engineers) and third-party vendors.
• Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
• Communicate system status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Work in 24x7 rotating shifts for continuous system support.
