Key Responsibilities :

- Design, Implement, and Maintain Backup Solutions : Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of backup solutions to ensure data protection for various environments.

- Backup and Recovery Operations : Execute regular backup tasks and perform restores as per the established guidelines. Maintain and test backup systems to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.

- Disaster Recovery & Bare Metal Recovery (BMR) : Manage and troubleshoot Bare Metal Recovery processes, ensuring efficient disaster recovery procedures are in place and working as intended.

- Storage Management : Oversee various storage types, including MSDP (Media Server Deduplication Pool), Basic Disk, Advanced Disk, Data Domain, and Cloud Storage.

- Monitor storage performance and optimize for maximum efficiency.

- Veritas NetBackup Expertise : Utilize Veritas NetBackup solutions to support backup and recovery operations.

- Ensure proper configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

- Flex Appliances Support : Leverage your knowledge and experience in working with Flex Appliances for backup operations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to these systems.

- VEEAM Solutions : Ensure optimal performance and reliability of VEEAM backup solutions in the organization.

- Manage backup jobs, restores, and other related activities.

- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Address and resolve any OS-related or backup-specific issues, including troubleshooting failed backup jobs and identifying root causes.

- Audit and Reporting : Generate detailed reports from backup systems and ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes. Maintain a robust system of log management for traceability.

- Collaboration and Support : Work with the IT and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of backup solutions into the overall technology landscape. Provide support for clients, both internal and external, ensuring optimal performance of backup systems.

Key Requirements :

- Experience : Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data backup and recovery solutions, with a strong focus on Veritas NetBackup.

- Hands-on Experience with Flex Appliances : At least 1 year of experience in working with Flex Appliances for data backup and management.

- Proficiency in VEEAM Solutions : Solid working knowledge of VEEAM backup solutions, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Data Recovery Expertise : Proven expertise in various data backup and recovery processes, including Bare Metal Recovery (BMR).

- Storage Systems Knowledge : Experience in managing and optimizing storage types like MSDP, Basic Disk, Advanced Disk, Data Domain, and Cloud Storage.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to diagnose and resolve OS-related issues that impact backup operations. Quick troubleshooting and resolution of backup failures.

- Attention to Detail : Strong ability to generate, maintain, and review detailed log reports for compliance and auditing purposes.
