Project Role Description :Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary:As an IBM DB2 Database Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, developing, testing, and demonstrating databases. Your typical day will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, performing backup/recovery, and configuration management.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain IBM DB2 databases for optimal performance and availability.

Perform backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Install and configure database management systems (DBMS) and related software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems meet business requirements and performance expectations.
Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills:Expertise in IBM DB2 Database Administration.

Good To Have Skills:Experience with other database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.

Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation.

Experience with backup and recovery procedures and tools.

Knowledge of database security and access control.

Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

Solid grasp of SQL and other database query languages.
Additional Information:

The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in IBM DB2 Database Administration.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful database solutions.

This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
