Senior ETL Engineer

ETL Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and performance tuning our data infrastructure, including data lake and data warehouse solutions, ETL processes, ETL mappings, ETL Jobs and Schedules, besides Data Profiling & Data Cleansing, under the purview of data governance practices. You'll work closely with our Senior Data Engineers and ETL Architects, Business and Data Analysts, Data Architects, BI Architects and BI Developers, Data Scientists and Database Administrators, and other business stakeholders to ensure that data pipelines are eIicient, scalable, and reliable while maintaining high standards of delivery, meeting expected SLAs. You will also play a key role in modernizing our data warehouse operations, migrating data from on-prem, on-shore, on-board systems to Cloud Data Warehouse, aligning with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Essential Functions

• Convert SSIS Stored procedures to Matillion Mappings and develop Job schedules and Job Audits.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and mappings to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data lake and eventually curate data for data consumption to support reporting and analytics.
• Develop Error Handling approach, full and incremental data loads via SCDs and CDCs to maintain history and real time / right time data streaming.
• Perform comprehensive data analysis, required to troubleshoot and assist in resolving data issues.
• Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance, scalability, and data quality, baselining current and improvised metrics.
• Develop ETL Reporting for Balance and Control, Job Statistics, Job Monitoring and Communication on continuous improvement.
• Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer, ETL Developer, or similar role.
• Experience with cloud-based data technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure).
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, Azure, Data Bricks, Snowflake).
• Experience with ETL and Data Ingestion tools such as Matillion, SSIS, Informatica, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, STRiiM, Stream Sets, Oracles ODI, Coalesce or Talend.
• Experience in Data Modeling Principles – E/R and Dimensional Modeling and Tools such as E/R Studio or ERWIN.
• Proficiency with standard database tools, Microsoft SSMS, Oracle Developer, etc.
• Experience in programming languages such as ANSI-SǪL, Python, Scala, and/or Java
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work eIectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
