Job Description

Job Purpose:

- Dynamic and experienced Retail Head would lead the P&L for the Exclusive Retail business (Company owned & Franchisee owned) by overseeing Retail Sales, Operations, Business Development & Projects (New Store Opening & Expansion), Marketing, Training functions, enabling the brand achieve all planned milestones and further profitability.

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing Retail Sales & Operations strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen company's presence in the EBO segment.

- Work closely with the Promoters and business leadership to oversee strategic business initiatives in the Retail sales function. Improve current sales processes (if required), in line with company's vision.

Key Accountabilities:

- Development of short / medium and long-term sales plans for Retail business, aligning with overall company's business plans

- Responsible for managing the P&L for the Retail Channel (EBOs) of the business, as a key Stake Holder & part of Leadership Team

- Work with key stakeholders (Promoters/CXOs), ensuring alignment of business objectives

- Drive Top line & Bottom line for the Retail business, Managing Sales & Operations through exclusive Business Outlets at a Pan India level (Tier 1 /2 /3 towns)

- Drive innovative ways of managing costs through optimisation of store costs and gross margins

- Effective Sales Budgeting for achieving brand growth goals

- Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with relevant teams of Franchisee Partners

- Expand the retail footprint in EBOs through Company Owned & Franchise models

- Business Development & Projects - Assessment of new and existing markets to study the viable geographies to open new stores

- Identify & Partner with financially strong and reliable Franchise Partners, and help replicate the current Company Owned stores model in terms of organization vision

- Re-alignment and consolidation of Territories based on Market situation and needs.

- Planning merchandising, assortment planning with buying team

- Recruiting, training, and managing retail staff, including conducting performance appraisals and providing professional development opportunities.

- Improve brand experience for the consumer through VM hygiene & staff training initiatives

- Instill a performance driven sales culture within the organization

- This profile will require extensive travel

Educational Qualifications, Experience:

- 15-20 years of experience in managing Retail Sales, Operations, New Store Expansion (Business Development), Projects (New Store Opening), Training, Marketing functions in Retail industry at a Regional or National level.

- Qualification - MBA (Full time) / Graduate / NIFT

- Detailed understanding of Store Sales & Operations functions within a Retail organization

- Experience of building, strengthening and sustaining strong Sales channels through Exclusive Business Outlets

- Experience in managing both Company Owned & Franchisee model would be desirable

- Experience in working in a start-up and further growing the business would be preferable

Target Industries- Any Small Retail Format within Apparel, Accessories, Beauty, Footwear, Electronics, Jewellery product line, Indian Brands or MNCs
