Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Container Management

• Design and implement Red Hat OpenShift clusters across development, staging, and production environments
• Manage container platforms using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.14.x Ultimate SKU features
• Configure and maintain container registries including Red Hat Quay and Harbor
• Implement VMware/Tanzu integration with OpenShift for hybrid cloud deployments

GitOps & CI/CD Implementation

• Design and implement modern CI/CD workflows using Red Hat OpenShift Pipelines
• Configure and manage Red Hat OpenShift GitOps with ArgoCD for declarative deployments
• Develop and maintain automated building, testing, and deployment in SIT/UAT/PROD
• Integrate security scanning and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines

Infrastructure Automation

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Develop and maintain Automated script(I.e. Ansible) for configuration management
• Automate resource provisioning across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments
• Design hybrid cloud architectures leveraging VMware VCF capabilities

Cloud Platform Management

• Manage workloads across AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Implement cloud-native services using AWS DevOps and Azure DevOps tools
• Configure and maintain cloud networking, security, and compliance controls
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and implement cost management strategies

Security & Compliance

• Implement security best practices using Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security
• Configure and maintain image scanning using Quay Security Operator
• Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations (PCI-DSS, SOX, etc.)
• Implement security practices(Runtime) within CI/CD pipelines

Required Technical Skills

Container Platforms & Orchestration

• Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift 4.14.x administration (OCP certification preferred)
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Pipeline and OpenShift GitOps (ArgoCD)
• Proficiency in container registry management (Quay, Harbor)
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes principles and patterns
• Knowledge on PV and PVC

Infrastructure & Automation

• Expert-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Advanced knowledge of Automation scripts (Ansible automation platform)
• Experience with VMware VCF/Tanzu administration
• Proficiency in cloud platform services (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge on Red Hat Datagrid and Red Hat AMQ Streams
• Knowledge on VmWare NSX Load Balancer
• Knowledge on Red Hat 3 Scale API Gateway

CI/CD & DevOps Tools

• Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows and tools
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools
• Experience with cloud-native CI/CD services (AWS CodePipeline, Azure Pipelines)

Programming & Scripting

• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Shell)
• Experience with Go programming (preferred)
• Knowledge of declarative languages (YAML, JSON)
• Understanding of API design principles

Monitoring & Observability

• Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Thanos
• Knowledge of ELK stack implementation
• Familiarity with distributed tracing (Jaeger)
• Understanding of SRE principles

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering roles
• Red Hat OpenShift certification (preferred)
• AWS/Azure cloud platform certifications (preferred)
