Location: Aashni + Co, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai
Department: Retail

Job Summary
The Retail Store Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Aashni + Co's store in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai. This individual will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, maintaining store aesthetics, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and implementing strategies to grow customer engagement and retention. A strategic yet hands-on approach is key, as the Retail Store Manager will also collaborate closely with our merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to uphold the brands reputation and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities :


  • Sales and Revenue Management
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
    • Develop and execute local strategies to boost in-store sales and enhance customer engagement.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adapting strategies as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

  • Customer Experience and Relationship Management
    • Deliver an exceptional shopping experience that reflects the luxury positioning of Aashni + Co.
    • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their preferences and providing personalized styling and product recommendations.
    • Address and resolve customer queries and complaints promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Store Operations and Inventory Management
    • Manage all store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash management, and stock control.
    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, coordinating with the merchandising team for timely replenishments and product rotation.
    • Implement systems for quality checks and ensure all products meet Aashni + Co’s high standards before display.

  • Team Leadership and Staff Development
    • Recruit, train, and mentor store staff to maintain a motivated and knowledgeable team.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve sales skills, customer service, and product knowledge.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to ensure team alignment with company values and goals.

  • Store Presentation and Visual Merchandising
    • Ensure the store layout, displays, and visual merchandising align with the brand’s luxury image.
    • Regularly refresh and update displays to highlight new arrivals, designer collections, and seasonal trends.

  • Local Area Marketing (LAM) and Event Coordination
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute in-store events, trunk shows, and promotional activities.
    • Engage with local influencers and clients to create buzz and drive footfall.

  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Maintain accurate records of store performance, customer footfall, and other key metrics.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on store performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

    • Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: MBA or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Fashion Designing or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant retail management experience, preferably in the luxury fashion or multi-brand retail sector in Indian ethnic designer wear category.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Passion for luxury fashion and a deep understanding of Indian ethnic designer wear category.
