Instrumentation Operations Technician

• responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• This role involves ensuring the proper functioning of instruments, sensors, and control devices to optimize operational efficiency and safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Instrumentation Installation:Install, calibrate, and commission various instrumentation and control devices such as sensors, transmitters, and analyzers
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the accurate placement and integration of instrumentation components
• Maintenance and Repair:Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of instrumentation systems to identify and address issues proactively
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs to resolve malfunctions and restore instrumentation functionality
• Control System Optimization:Collaborate with control system engineers to optimize the performance of distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and other control devices
• Implement software upgrades and modifications as needed
• Calibration and Testing:Calibrate instrumentation devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
• Conduct testing of instrumentation systems to verify proper functionality
• Documentation and Recordkeeping:Maintain accurate records of instrumentation installations, maintenance activities, and calibration schedules
• Generate reports on system performance, issues, and resolution strategies
• Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and standards while working with instrumentation systems
• Implement safety measures to mitigate risks associated with instrumentation operations
• Collaboration with Operations Team:Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure the seamless integration of instrumentation systems with overall plant operations
• Provide support during commissioning and startup of new equipment
• Training and Knowledge Transfer:Provide training to operations and maintenance personnel on instrumentation systems and procedures
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to enhance the team's capability to address instrumentation challenges
