JOB DESCRIPTION
Title of the Position : Java Developer
Designation : Senior Engineer / Specialist
Work Location : Remote
No. of positions : 10
Shifts : General
Working hours : 9 hours, 5 days week ( Little overlapping with EST time zone)
Summary of the Position :
This position requires candidate should be Graduate/Post Graduate with at least 3+ years of relevant experience.
Qualification & Certifications :
- BE or MCA or Equivalent
Experience :
- Minimum of 5+ years as Java, Java J2EE, Struts2, Spring, Spring boot, SQL, JUnit
Tech knowledge/Skills :
- Strong experience in Java and related technologies to design, develop web applications & REST APIs.
- Working experience in java web frameworks (Struts2 , Spring, Hibernate, Spring Data, JPA)
- Strong experience in database design and management and being updated on the latest practices and associated versions.
- Write JUnit test cases for the highest possible test coverage in every build
- Preferable: Exposure / working experience of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, ReactJs etc.
- Strong communication skills, proactive, responsible and superb execution;
- Proven work experience as a Java-J2EE developer
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and
deployment)
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
- Good team player with a problem-solving attitude
- Familiar with Microservices design
- Familiar with web hosting products is a plus
- Work experience with cloud environment is a plus.
- Be flexible to learn & work on new technologies as required
Responsibilities :
- The Java Developer will be responsible for developing new APIs and also migrating old APIs using Java, Spring boot and working with a team of developers to incorporate best practices.
Developing applications : Understand requirements, come up with technical solution & implementation of features, write code using best practices, do the required unit testing, get it reviewed by code owners and watch it pushed to production to feel proud of the work thats being done.
Relationship Management : The Java developer will work closely with senior developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to build good relationships, learn from them, and support them in all possible ways to deliver quality products.
Continuous learning, Continuous improvement :
- One of the core roles of the Java developer is to ensure they are constantly learning (new technologies, frameworks, and tools) to make the development process more efficient.
Ownership : You will ensure that you take responsibility for all the work assigned to you is completed on time, and tested thoroughly before you submit it. You should have given the best efforts to solve the problem yourself before reaching out to your seniors.
