Senior Accountant (USA Accounting)

About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Senior Accountants with in-depth knowledge of USA accounting practices to join our team in Rohini, New Delhi. This role requires a highly skilled accounting professional proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, financial reconciliations, and US-based accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, and preparing reports for US clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Experience & US Compliance:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in US accounting practices, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and US financial compliance.
• Hands-on experience in managing financial statements, ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.

2. QuickBooks Expertise:

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is a must.
• Ability to utilize job costing, inventory tracking, custom reporting, and other advanced features in QuickBooks.
• Experience in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting QuickBooks accounts.
• Managing vendor bills, client invoices, check payments, ACH transactions, and reconciliations within QuickBooks.

3. Excel & Financial Data Management:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
• Pivot Tables
• VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP
• Advanced formulas and data analysis tools
• Ability to compile and analyze large financial datasets to generate meaningful reports.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable (A/P & A/R) Management:

• Oversee and process vendor bills, client invoices, and payment transactions.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including recording checks, ACH transactions, and following up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain a strong collections and payment reconciliation process to ensure smooth financial operations.

5. Monthly & Yearly Reconciliations:

• Perform bank, credit card, PayPal, and financial account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transactions before finalizing accounts.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in accounting records.

6. General Ledger & Financial Reporting:

• Maintain and update the general ledger by correctly classifying assets, liabilities, and expenses.
• Post transactions and prepare adjusting journal entries as required.
• Generate weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports to provide insights into business performance.

7. Audit Preparation & Compliance:

• Prepare and organize financial documents for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with US accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of reports required by regulatory authorities and tax consultants.

8. Team Leadership & Client Management:

• Work closely with US-based clients to understand financial reporting needs and provide solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff within the team.
• Effectively communicate financial insights and findings to US clients and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

1. Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, specifically handling USA-based financial transactions.
• Strong background in QuickBooks Desktop, reconciliations, A/R, A/P, and US financial compliance.

2. Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.

3. Additional Skills & Advantages:

• Familiarity with US tax laws, IRS regulations, and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience with other accounting software, ERP systems, or business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle large financial datasets.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Salary & Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: ₹70,000 - ₹100,000 per month.

Work Schedule & Timings:

• Night Shift: Working hours align with USA business hours, with start times between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM IST.
• Candidates must be comfortable working night shifts, with flexibility to adjust shift timings based on business needs.
