Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team.
- The successful candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in accounting and will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Prepare and process vendor payments.
Accounts Receivable:
- Process customer invoices, track payments, and resolve any outstanding invoices.
- Prepare and maintain customer account records.
- Conduct credit checks and monitor customer accounts for potential risks.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements with company records on a regular basis.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
- Prepare journal entries for various transactions.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for financial statements.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed.
Tax Compliance:
- Assist with the preparation of sales tax returns and other tax filings.
Internal Controls:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in an accounting role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, NetSuite).
- Strong Excel skills, including knowledge of formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
