Job Description
- Experience leading teams of talented software developers and engineers and managing Java Enterprise projects deployable in cloud environments
- Ability to understand project requirements, scope, features, and the technology being used
- Ability to manage and control project costs and budget, and deliver projects on schedule
- Skills such as analytical, problem solving, organizational, time management, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

- Understanding of basic principles of software engineering and development
- Enough understanding of technology to help evaluate suitability and functionality of available software and tools to meet project needs and solve problems
- Willingness to learn new technology domains, with the goal of leading teams and developing solutions for those domains, as and when required by projects
- Ability to empathize with customers, collect their stated requirements, and understand their real and unstated requirements, purpose and needs.
- Ability to plan software design, development, test and delivery phases given real world constraints such as lack of clarity in requirements and ever shifting timelines.
- Knack for spotting the right talent and ability to work with HR for new recruitments for the project
- Ability to delegate tasks in an unbiased manner, based on matching talent
- Ability to maintain morale of the team and handle the pressures of working in the Software Industry
- Enough confidence and experience to disagree with superiors in interest of the project, to say NO when needed and be able to back it up
- High ethical standards, readiness to make informed decisions and own successes and failures and learn from them.
- Ability to foster a culture of openness, transparency and accountability, in line with 6Simplex s culture and values
- Understanding and empathy for dealing with team members and helping them overcome issues they face at work

5+ years hands-on experience managing development teams for building enterprise applications

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines (Business/Management Sciences, Computer Science, Town Planning, Information Technology, Software Engineering)
