Snowflake Developer (8-12 yrs)

Job Description :

Role & Responsibilities :

1. Design, develop, and maintain data structures that facilitate efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval in an enterprise data warehouse (EDW).

2. Proficiently create, debug, and optimize stored procedures, functions, and views to ensure data accuracy and availability.

3. Leverage Python for scripting and automation tasks, enhancing data workflows and processes.

4. Efficiently design data models by understanding the project needs and creating Source to Target Mappings (STTM), Technical Specs with a scalable & performant architecture in Snowflake.

5. Ensure data quality and integrity by validating and cleansing data, identifying and resolving anomalies, and implementing data quality checks.

6. Collaborative Spirit : Work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Required Qualifications :

1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

2. Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts and best practices.

3. Strong experience with Snowflake data warehousing is a must. Experience with DW tools like SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA is a value add.

4. Strong proficiency in SQL programming, including the ability to create and debug stored procedures, functions, and views.

5. Experience with Airflow and Tableau is nice to have.

6. Experience with Python for scripting and automating tasks is preferred.

7. Self-motivated and eager to take ownership of projects.

8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

9. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
