Mphasis - Snowflake Developer (6-9 yrs)

Job Description :

Primary Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement data pipelines using Snowflake's SQL interface and stored procedures.

- Optimize queries for performance and efficiency.

- Develop and maintain data warehouse objects such as tables, views, and materialized views.

- Implement data security best practices within Snowflake.

- Automate data ingestion and transformation processes using tools like DBT.

- Participate in the design and development of data models for the Snowflake data warehouse.

- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move data from various sources (relational databases, cloud storage) to Snowflake.

- Cleanse and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from Snowflake.

- Support data analysts and business users in their data exploration needs.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines to feed data into reporting and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

- Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Document data pipelines and data models clearly and concisely.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of data solutions.

- Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest advancements in Snowflake, data warehousing technologies, and best practices.

Technical Skills :

Primary Skills :

- 6+ years of experience in data development and data warehousing.

- Expert knowledge of Snowflake SQL and its functionalities.

- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).

- Familiarity with cloud data platforms like BigQuery or Redshift (a plus).

- Proficiency in data modeling concepts and ETL methodologies.

- Experience with data transformation tools like Alteryx or DBT (a plus).

Secondary Skills :

- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and scripting (a plus).

- Familiarity with data governance and security principles.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Education : B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M.Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college
