Job Description

As a member of our Process & Technology (P&T) department, which is the leading force for technology development and innovation of the process to produce future glass types, you report to the P&T Leader of the Goa facility. The P&T department is a key support to our vision of being the leading developer and supplier of glass fibre solutions. You are responsible for driving the process and technology development in order to reduce the manufacturing cost and waste, together with improved product quality. The position is based in Goa.

Your profile

Education: M. Tech / B. Tech in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5-10 years

Languages: English and Hindi. Fluent in English, both in writing and orally.

Your behavioural competencies: good communication and reporting skills, strong ability to learn and study new technologies [glass melting, fiberisation, etc.] , ability to become the driving force at the plant for the power of analysis.

Your role and responsibilities

Support Project Team for process engineering activities.

Design equipment & process calculations in alignment with Global / Plant team.

Generate all Plant process specification for Glass Fibre products in alignment with Global team.

Support installation & commissioning of process equipments.

Ensures that those process specifications allow Plant to produce products meeting product specifications. To achieve this, you work in close cooperation with Global Product & Process organisation.

Standardise HVAC for critical processes.

Extend support for in depth analysis of plant performances.

Propose possible product or process specifications changes to better meet customer (internal and external) needs or decrease production costs.

For any change of process specification (including any raw material or process equipment change), leads needed qualification programs by defining, planning conducting and analyzing all necessary trials & data. Authorize those changes of process specification (including any raw material or process equipment change).
