Role Overview

The Accounts & Finance Manager is a key leader responsible for managing the financial operations. This role bridges the gap between high-level strategic financial planning and day-to-day accounting functions. It requires a blend of analytical expertise, hands-on management, and the ability to communicate financial insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to forecast revenues, expenses, and capital needs.
• Create rolling forecasts and financial models that support short-term and long-term business strategies.
• Regularly analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to management.
• Manage timely month/quarter/year-end closings, and produce management reports.
• Monitor daily cash, forecast liquidity needs, and maintain banking relationships.
• Enforce internal controls, keep up with regulatory changes, and coordinate audits.
• Identify risks/opportunities, advise executives, and analyze investments.
• Improve processes, implement ERP/software solutions, and ensure cross-departmental integration.
• Mentor and allocate tasks within the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Report financial insights to leadership, board members, and investors.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degrees or CA/CMA are a plus).
• 8+ years in progressively responsible finance/accounting roles, ideally in a startup or growth-oriented environment.
• Strong command of accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books) and advanced Excel skills.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities; adept at managing multiple priorities under pressure
