The Nursing Care Analyst in Nursing and Patient Care Services is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data elements which identify outcomes that maximize safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient centred care.
This includes, but is not limited to, the design and implementation of computerized data collection systems, data trending, interpretation and analysis of various nursing and clinical processes.
The analysis includes recommendations for process or structural changes to improve the outcomes of care.
The Nursing Data Analyst possesses a thorough knowledge of database management and implements the necessary policies and procedures to maintain appropriate records, reports and analysis.
He/she independently prepares written reports and analysis detailing nursing performance and/or practice issues.
The incumbent provides technical support in the development and/or management of select databases.
This position is also responsible for maintenance and improvement of the Nursing and Patient Care Services scorecards, the departments primary electronic tool in managing clinical and operational metrics.
Minimum Previous Experience:
Candidates must have minimum 1 year of experience in Clinical Oriented Environment.
Other Skills:
Operating Knowledge Of MS Office 2000, typing speed 30+ WPM
Strong/Minimum written and verbal communication skills.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
