Position Title: Assistant Manager
Department: Finance
Location: Chennai
Reports To: Group Finance Controller
About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of experience to join our dynamic finance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have exposure to statutory audits, internal audits, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), treasury operations, and preparation of financial controls.
- This is a key role that involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct statutory and internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash pooling/sweeping, and forex hedging.
- Ensure efficient liquidity management and adherence to treasury controls.
- Prepare and monitor daily and periodic cash flow statements.
- Support in short-term and long-term cash flow planning.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and MIS for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary controls and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Support the design and implementation of internal financial controls.
- Periodically review and enhance processes to ensure compliance with best practices.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience in Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, FP&A, and Treasury Operations during Articleship or post-qualification.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
