Round 1 - Case Study 

Hypothetical ethnic wear manufacturing/retail company where we had to calculate financial ratios and do an analysis on them. Also a competitor analysis along with questions you would ask the management regarding different topics.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question
So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..

  • Q1. Taxation in mutual fund in equity fund and debt Fund .short term as well as for long term
  • Ans. 

    Taxation in mutual funds varies for equity and debt funds, and for short and long term investments.

    • Equity funds held for more than a year are taxed at 10% on gains above Rs. 1 lakh

    • Short-term gains in equity funds are taxed at 15%

    • Debt funds held for less than 3 years are taxed as per the investor's income tax slab

    • Long-term gains in debt funds are taxed at 20% with indexation benefit
