This ensures that the internal state of the object is not modified directly from outside the class.

Encapsulation is a concept in OOPS where properties(data) are bind with their behaviour(methods) to provide security in data access/modification. Can be achieved with the help of Getters/Setters methods on private variables.

Encapsulation makes allowing only authenticated users to access/modify private data easy by authenticating the user before allowing to access the data.
