Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Very first, the interviewers and their employees gave presentation about their products and company. They were very cool and very positive to motivate candidates. After that they started Round 1 that is test based on aptitude and logical problem, also containing c programmin and operating system problems.
Tips: If you have studied basics very well, you will clear the round 1 very easily. Study C programming and Linux Operating System concepts.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Questions: 60

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I am not specifying any question above because 2nd round i.e Technical Round 1 was continued to abt 1 and hour hours taken by 1 interviewer. If you give all answers confindently, obviously they all must be correct, you will be qualified to next techincal round.
Tips: Same as mentioned in round 1.
Study C programming & Operating System.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This was Technical Round 2. It was taken by 3 interviewers asking questions randomly from random subject. Also, one took rapid fire round for 20-25 questions. If you qualified this round, then you can assume that you are selected. This round was also continued more than 1 hour.
Tips: Study Networking concepts

Round: HR Interview
Experience: If you are called for HR interview, then you can assume that you already selected as employee for company. This is round is just for formality to tell you CTC and location and joining, etc.
One thing I would like to mention that in each round they will ask you to tell about yourself. So prepare that too. In HR round, they asked me some tricky puzzles to solve since I mentioned that I am very good in maths so.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Behavioural Interview
Experience: The behavioral interview for PwC UK is usually conducted by telephone and then the final interview which includes a behavioral component happens in the last stage. The interview was a great experience and I enjoyed speaking to the interviews on both occasions. I spent sometime getting familiar with PwC's core competencies and prepared examples from my life that reflected these competencies. It was also useful to practice these questions in front of the mirror as it helped me to restructure my answers well. All in all, it was a friendly experience and the interviewers are looking to know you better. Just be confident, smile and be yourself. A "rattofied-textbook" answer will surely get you rejected, instead speak what you really believe in and let it be authentic!
Tips: Use the STAR technique to answer behavioral interview questions :-
S (Situation) - What was the situation? Give the context in approx 1-2 lines for the interviewer to understand the situation.
T (Task) - What was the task that you were required to do? Eg. Group project, team task etc.
A (Action) - What did YOU do? Focus on your actions NOT that of the team. Eg. I managed my time by prioritizing my responsibilities. Or, I spoke to my team leader about the problem. Or, I researched the current market trends in XYZ.
R (Result) - What was the end result? Eg: I completed the task in time. Or, The group increased the productivity by x%.

Round: Assessment day
Experience: After being successful in the telephone interview I was invited to attend an Assessment Day at the PwC office in London. We had a series of tasks throughout the day which included a case study, group task and client interview. It is quite rigorous and the day was quite exhausting.
Tips: Complete all the tasks in the given time. You will be marked down if you fail to finish.
Try to be inclusive in the group discussions. Use names of participants while talking to them.

General Tips: The recruitment process is designed if you are a right fit in the company, It's equally important for you to judge if the company is the right fit for you. Talk to people in the company, explore company resources, search news articles about the company, and most important - follow your instinct!

Interview Questionnaire

1 Question

  • Q1. Imagine you are consulting a large client located in (a) USA (b) India. The client wants to know if and how should some parts of the business be outsourced. What are the three primary factors you would con...
  • Ans.

Factors and risks to consider when outsourcing for a large client in USA/India and how to execute the plan.

    • Primary factors: cost savings, expertise, and scalability

    • Risks: loss of control, quality issues, and cultural differences

    • Execution plan: identify the scope of work, select a vendor, negotiate terms, and establish communication and monitoring protocols

  • Answered by AI

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Case Study Interview
Experience: I asked her the industry in which the client operated and the rationale behind the outsourcing consideration – Cost and efficiency. (a) USA – Perform a cost-benefit analysis of outsourcing and offshoring separately. Three factors – Culture difference (I told her the differences in outlook towards outsourcing among US, Europe and say, Australian firms.), potential employee backlash and so on.
Business risk (security and quality) – I cited the recent BPO fraudulent transactions, Dell’s experience with call centers etc. Identification of “non core” activities to outsource. (I am not sure what exactly the differences between an Indian and a US client that I cited were!) Execution Vendor selection (I would look at quality approvals (CMM levels etc), track record (within the client’s industry to be more specific) and references from other firms. Outsource components that are least risky – for instance, stable IT systems for pure maintenance and thru stages to BPO and possibly KPO. Multi-sourcing options (though I confessed I didn’t know much about the way in which deals are structured in multi-sourcing arrangements) Finally, based on the above analyses, options including body-shopping, selling off the “outsourced” division etc. need to be considered.
Tips: Be thorough with all aspects of your CV
