Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I did 4 rounds of interview. Day 1- they tell you to arrive 15 mins prior and make you wait for 1.5 hrs since they had called 5-6 candidates at the same time for 10 mins of basic HR round. After that I was given a home assignment of 28 hrs which I passed and I was called for an in-office assignment round which I again passed. I was called for technical round after all this and the interview was taken by the CEO who is not a UX designer. He asked me if UI or UX comes first and I said UX n he kept trying to convince me that UI always comes first and sometimes UX is not even required. I almost started questioning what I had learnt for the past 1 year but thankfully I wasn't convinced. Just this discussion went on for 20 mins. In between I was asked the Heuristic principles to which I gave 7 principles and he says it's wrong..hahaha. Then he asks who is Heuristics to which I didn't answer because there's no "who", it's a usability testing method. This entire time he was constantly condescending and sarcastically smiling. I asked him why he didn't keep the technical round before the test assignment rounds since knowing if the candidate knows the basics of UI/UX is most important, he had no sensible answer. I explained both UX and UI processes but he thinks I lack basic knowledge because I didn't agree with him about "UI first" concept. He even told me to ask chatgpt about this and guess what? It says UX comes first and so does all the UX Design websites. When I asked him about the payscale in the 4th round, he said I don't handle that, I don't even take interviews (ya you clearly shouldn't). Technical round interview should be taken by a person form the same domain.
