Caching is term used to speeding up computer resources namely to improve latency and data transmission speeds. Latency and throughput determines the transmission speed.Disk perfomace is optimised by enabling cashing on a VM Data disk, that has a BLOB storage , that improves transmission speeds but for large work loads like SQL Servers, Web Servers no caching policy is used. Caching uses a specialized temp storage, likely to be expensive than permamanent storage.
