Guidance on career switch: Within Data Field
Context: I have been working for the past one year (intern + 4 month full time) as a analytic engineer where I was responsible for creating python scripts/ query using sql and build visuals (PowerBI). --- Due to medical reaons, I had to leave this org in dec 2024, Now I am trying to get back with the job hunt. Question: Moving forward, in which data field should I put efforts into - Data engineering, Data Science ... Actual reason for kindly reaching out for guidance is to not have to-n-fro movement while learning. I am technical not that good and honestly agree on the part of trying to learn everything while touching only the surface. Being more precise, i am good at SQL window functions and other logic building portion but ain't aware of PySpark, Python (managed previous workloads through AI). I am trying to enroll myself into a streamlined bootcamp for either DE or DS based on the inputs here. Thanks a lot for the support in advance

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I had a pathetic experience when I was offered a package which was already below industry standards. When I tried to negotiate and asked for another 5% increase, the HR came back after a week with an offer lower than the one originally offered. I guess BDO rise wants standard employees at a below than average pay.

Just be careful and never join an organisation which undervalues you. Better opportunities will surely come if you have the experience and skill set.
