Background: I was approached by the recruitment team in the last week of March 2022 based on my profile from Naukri.com . The recruiter talked about the Job Description, the role and the required skillset which was matching with my profile. The interview was scheduled the next day at evening. Technical Discussion: 1. Mostly the questions asked were based on the skills written into the Resume and is for 1 hour. 2. In the initial phases the interviewer was highly focused on Java 8 concepts. He will ask you to write the syntax for the latest features like Streams, FI etc. on a plain text editor and not an IDE to see if you know it well and are independent of IDE's which makes tasks easy. 3. In the next phase, you'll be asked to code a question again in notepad. The coding question was of array manipulation to find min and max without using any Collections or Stream concepts. We'll be asked to dry run the code and optimise it if possible. 4. After that i was asked questions on SpringBoot concepts mostly on Persistence Layer and Service Layer. How to configure Hibernate. Code Deployment steps 5. In the last phase, you'll be asked questions on SQL and write the query which is favourite of all the interviewer : "FIND THE NTH MAX/MIN SALARY". And then you'll be given chance to ask question if any. If no then the interview is done.
