Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Most of the questions were simple and were easily answerable. The only constraining factor was time. You need to be very fast.
Tips: Practice basic math like Simple interest, Compound interest ..etc
Rest all should be easy enough

Experience: It involved a few questions which required to have some basic knowledge on chemistry.
Chemical engineering stuff which was asked was straight forward
Tips: Concentrate more on Mass and heat transfer topics

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I added the relevant course work and tried to remove the data that is not related to the position seeked
Tips: Make resume more point oriented rather than bulky matter

Experience: I was very cool and calm at the time of interview and did a ground work of company income and stuff like that

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I believe that they were looking bio-products design. I had not worked in that field myself but had some courses and experiences in startups which revolved around the same. I made sure my resume emphasized these points.
Tips: Simply put, make sure you are what they are looking for for their profile. Don't write something false but make sure you know how to modify the truth to fit their interest

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I have sweat as much in my entire life as I did in that air-conditioned interview room. The interview was through Skype. I made sure that I never gave up on the point that I had made the base for my pitch - 'Openness and ability to form new innovative idea'. I made sure that in every question, I was able to bring out this point and also show him my other qualities complemented the same. At the end I think that it was my confidence that did the trick.
Tips: Make sure your body language and voice shows your confidence in what you are saying and make sure you pitch your strengths as often as possible revolving around what they might be requiring you to do at the internship.

Skill Tips: Just try and make sure you send out the signals which make them realize you have the ability to work across domains using the specialized knowledge you have in your area of expertise. You need to show them that you can use your knowledge base creatively to solve some issue they might be working on at that time.

Round: Test
Experience: There was a standardized test from an American company. It had 50 questions in 12 minutes.The questions were basic Quant and English. I could attempt around 47 questions.
Tips: CAT preparation will help you crack this round.
Duration: 12 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: We were 8 people in a group. They were looking for analytical thinking and articulation. So, about 3-4 people from each group. There were 3 groups.
Tips: Practice analytical thinking about a lot of topics.
Duration: 12+3 minutes

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was basically a HR interview. They were very interested in how analytical my thinking was. They wanted to know my knowledge about the firm and the job profile. No puzzles and guesstimates were asked.
Tips: Go through your resume completely. Each point, talk about how this helped you. Practice speaking in front of the mirror.
