Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Typical consult resume shortlist, depended on how many peaks a person had and what not.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The interview was conducted well, personal interaction was quite friendly and at no point did the interviewer try to put any stress.

Typical HR round trying to gauge what your skills and motives are.
A standard market entry case.

However they arrived with just half as many panellists (as needed) and couldn't interview many people as such and very few were given second rounds. (Mostly whoever was eliminated from BCG final rounds, internal hot list was also present)

Tips: Having a BCG or another consult shortlist is very necessary. There would usually be communication between them, and they always take the ones rejected in final rounds of BCG.

Apart from that, they have the usual consult interviews, and the other write ups on the portal have well explained the process.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: It is pretty straight forward. They will shortlist you, if either you have decent CG or good projects/internship. Within a branch, they took 10-15 ppl.
Tips: Make a clear single page resume. Don't try tricks like 1.5 page or reducing the font size to add more content, that just irritates interviewer. Keep it in the standard format. If you are not able to fit your doings on one page, put only best one.

Round: Test
Experience: Questions will be thrown at you in different frame structures. It was not a qualifying step but they grill in interview based on the psychometric result generated by the software.
Tips: Try to be consistent in your answer. Try to keep your answer in the direction of what company wants.
Duration: 20 minutes
Total Questions: 80

Round: Stress Interview
Experience: It was kind of stress round, they never let me complete my answer and was alternating in tech - HR question
Tips: Be confident, there is no right or wrong. You may not be able to complete your sentence for 80% time. In such situation just be quick to change your answer as the question changes.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: You need to pitch in yourself, they gonna take only 1/20 ppl for the shortlisted ones.
Tips: Be confident

About the statistical models vs ML question, I emphasized that statistical models might be the core of ML, but ML encompasses details about the whole process. Special to profile - Said I have requisite theoretical as well as practical know-how. Talked about projects provided practical knowledge. Unique for corp. world - Talked about how I am a teamplayer by being a part of a lot of teams throughout insti time. He then asked, how would you tackle a bully. I said zero tolerance to bullies in my team. Then asked how would you tackle a bully who is your senior/client - Said I will be diplomatic as there is a tradeoff between how I can minimize abuse and how much damage it will cause. But, will make sure that I start small and then push for larger changes. Then asked more about ML - Told him about Supervised, unsupervised, RL, Deep. Surface area - standard guesstimate stuff
Tips: If you have done a course in ML, you will sail through. This time it looks like they were trying to expand their team
