I will recommend to initiate the coversation in group because it shows your leadership quality and do not interrupt while someone speaking about a point listen to them carefully and answer them politely. Give chance for everyone to speak in your group. Sum up the things you have discussed from the starting and conclude the discussion in a positive note. Patience, leadership, communication will be judged in this round.

My batch were given a topic discuss on how India is indipendent? Given us 5 mins of time to prepare notes regarding what to address in the discussion part. I've taken the initiation and pointed few things what came into my mind and gave time for others to talk about it. Whenever I feel like adding a point in the conversation I politely took permission from host as well remaining batchmates and started talking which built a positive impression.
