New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

nothing is good. If you are a fresher or a 2-3 years of experience then you can survive for 2 years.

... politics. Senior is egoistic if you want to know then don't call them sir/maam. Salary and perks is not good. There is no hike its a cashback. Worst management narrow minded people. You will see north south partiality.

Okish culture and good job security. Great HR team but policies are bad. Used to be flexible timings but now moving towards fixed shifts and US timings.

No vision for betterment or skill growth. Decent compensation but no outings and fun events. Ever changing unfavorable policies. Super silent meetings and most of em non interactive. Beware you maybe put up as support resource if quiet or flexible.

It has best work from home policy. Unlimited leaves. One can take wfh for months and no body is going to ask for the reason. Shift allowance is also high. Team is very responsive and specially the collegues
