I was laid off after 10 years but they I got paid 7 months Salary as Severance and bonus at the end of the year for the time I served. overall company treats its employees fairly and have good HR policies.

Dislikes

high degree of politics by onshore based staff who are associated with the company for long, If you are talented and they feel threatened, they will torture you for years, till you are out of system.

Likes

The only good thing about XL is they encourage you to do things on your own and no spoon feeding. Train yourself by reading materials, understand reports on your own by going through the formulas - They improve your problem solving skills and make your work style little better than ever. You will end up working faster than before (I'm part of FP&A - Not sure how operations team and other LOB works)

Dislikes

No Growth, people create groups in Team chat app and start blaming each other.. Poor poor very poor management. People are scared to open up to HR during exit meeting, as they are worried if their reliving will be affected. Managers and above behave rudely when you approach them with any concerns and issues. Politics are very common, but XL has the extreme version of it. No work life balance, we have even stretched till 1am IST on SUNDAYS and logged in back on Monday at usual time 9am IST. Quite often I had to cancel my medical treatments due to reporting deadlines. I honestly never refer even my enemies there!!!

The people here are helping. The policies of the company motivates employees to work efficiently along with maintaining a work life balance. The boss is never rude to you and this is what an employee seeks in an organization.

Dislikes

Appraisals may or may not be in your favor. No proper management to guide you about the studies you want to pursue and no proper career pathing.

Likes

If you are in the good books of your manager you will get all you want but if not no matter what you do you will always be rated average. If you are okay with average career growth and looking for good work life balance it a good place.

Dislikes

Manager driven environment, favouritism and lack of transparency from senior management.
