No fun. Hardware people are the kings. No weightage for software people. Onsite offshore politics.

very poor gender ratio. Promotions are very very very slow. Hikes are very less. Work life balance mostly poor.

Excellent culture, nice people to work with, great work life balance, attractive compensation including shares. Only flip side is that you get stuck to a single technology and if nothing much is happening much on it and it is routine operations, you might be stuck in inactivity periods without much learning. Also there is no visibility beyond your technology and you won’t get to learn the bigger picture unless you are very proactive and a self driven person... all in all, a great company to work for!

Sometimes things get boring during periods of inactivity in terms of not being able to up-skill yourself and grow to broader roles

Xilinx has been a pioneer in the semiconductor industry. It is a mature organization with a contemporary working environment. It offers a plethora of profiles to work for. All teams progress diligently in a congenial manner. I am a part of a team that assists in system integrations and provide technical support to the teams within the organization, and to external clients when required. Managing ticketed query system and ensuring comprehensive database of queries and resolutions kept up to date. The pandemic has continued to be stressful on personal and professional lives, nevertheless Xilinx has managed to sail through it as health & safety of employees is its primary concern. Special incentives for health and best ergonomic practices during WFH to virtual sessions on recreational activities have been organized to maintain work-life-balance efficiently.
