PIP is for Vengeance, Not Performance – A Tool Misused by Insecure Managers
I always believed a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) was meant to help an employee grow. But reality hit differently. Some were put on a PIP without any prior warnings, no clear expectations, and no proper guidance. It felt less like a performance correction and more like a personal vendetta. The same managers who failed to support or understand challenges were quick to question, criticize, and push into PIP mode — just to show power or settle scores. Performance issues should be handled with constructive feedback and mentorship. But in some companies, especially under insecure leadership, PIP becomes a silent weapon to corner individuals or force resignations.

Wipro was known for its supportive work culture and employee-first approach. There was no practice of abrupt terminations unless there was a serious breach of conduct. Even for employees on the bench, the company allowed time to find a new project and ensured a sense of job security. This created an environment where employees could grow without the constant fear of sudden exits.

However, in recent quarters, I observed a shift in the bench policy that appeared to prioritize cost-cutting over employee support. The policy was subtly modified and increasingly used to pressure employees into resigning after their bench period ended. For instance, employees with around two years of experience were informed by senior management that there were no suitable projects for their level and were not given further support. Once the bench period expired, many were essentially compelled to resign under the guise of this policy.

After onboarding , BGV and client verification is time consuming, Bad work life balance , Promotion and raise in salary will reflect in delay 3 months from the time you should get it .

They will stop ur salary after 45 days in bench and best part is if u get a project after maybe 10 days of LOP, they will keep you on LOP for another 20 days(as name of BGV) and don't pay you for one month salary. In wipro NP is 90 days that means u need to serve 90 days before leaving but company will give u 45 days bench. Don't join this company if you have any other offer in your hand.

They pay you peanuts 🥜 literally peanuts even if you b@g infront of Wipro office you will earn more than their salary, the managers are sh!t, I was in a insurance process UHG, Avijit was our TL he was a madharchod person, Ishani Banerjee named girl 🍆👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 with a TL she was a real khanki maagi, she was very famous in Wipro then she was terminated from the job being a girl it feels disgusting to me 🤮 she did that with many boys in Wipro, she was a very big behen ki laudi

On time salary.

Dislikes

Company hires candidates for immediate position, which is not lasting of 6 months. Hr told lie to Candidates that role is permanent. After finishing project move to bench. Within 45 days you need to search on project if you don't get a project then you will move to LOP. It will within 3 months exit. The most dangerous things is whatever location you had hired no matter for your job you have to relocate which is hidden when you joined. The management didn't answer you when you need help. If you're lucky you can project for at least one year.
