Every thing. Walmart is no more remains Walmart It's Global technology services. So basically #1 product company in retail where work life balance is similar to typical service based companies. - Daily standup calls in morning and evening except Fridays and adhoc meetings. - people are remote friendly, and most of manager feels working in office is more productive than remote ( looks like no work have been done in pandemic where everyone is remote worker) - Management doesn't care about your personal growth and give some lame work who have no values outside Walmart. - if you go against management your life will be screwed, they will put vyoi on performance improvement plan in which you lose your stocks and variable. - Customer is king and for that resources life get screwed. - innovations are done by interns but credits will be taken by Senior folks and this is how promotion happened here.

Dislikes

...rformance review process—biased and unstructured, leading to unfair evaluations. Minimal or no salary hikes, even after a year of hard work. - Hostile work culture—internal politics and favoritism lead to mental harassment and job dissatisfaction.

...omplaining against manager to HR and higher management, no action will be taken. Instead they will give you worst rating, 0% hike 0%bonus. And also in some cases they will try to put you on PIP then fire you. So don’t join this company. Also if your manager name to be Pradeep Gupta or your project going to be OMS, never join. He will make your life hell.

Lots of politics, compensation mediocre. They focus less on career growth and more on making noise. So it doesn't matter what one did, only perception. Walmart is not a tech company but driven by their business goals, so innovation is years behind peers and worst part about them is their internal tools which we are forced to use under the name of security. The cherry on top is the worst in class documentation of said tools. If one can handle demeaning, micromanagement, it does have great work life balance., but that would again depend on manager. Dont join if you have other options.

- Exposure to a wide technology stack - Great Learning Opportunity - Better compensation compared to Standard IT Service companies like TCS,Infy,Wipro,etc

- Heavy Politics - Poor On-call rotation (Expect calls anytime during your on-call turn. On-call means full-time work for that duration) - Poor Work Life Balance (Although the Leave structure is good and no one Stops you from taking leaves, the working day is almost 12-14 hours frequently)
