I made good friends there. Nothing is good about VIT

Dislikes

The whole work culture at VIT is so toxic. I did not even receive my salary for a month. Even I had to work on weekends, no over time was provided. I don't recommend to join VIT as a staff member

First of all I would like to inform you all that VIT Bhopal University is an entirely different campus and has no connection with VIT Vellore, Chennai and Amaravaty campuses. Its not VIT, Bhopal, instead they strategically named it as VIT Bhopal University. What they show is all belong to VIT Vellore. The management doesn't care about who you are. The HR manager will give you many offers at the time of joining. They conduct all the interviews through online platforms not in the campus. Once you reach here by accepting their fake promises, they will collect all your original certificates. Then you are completely under their hands. You may get 4-5 different subject to handle in a semester and it's a rare thing that you will get your preffered subjects. They will not give your certificates back when you need them. Many have payed three months of salary to get their own certificates. They don't keep the certificates in VIT Bhopal, instead, they say, due to security reasons, they keep them in VIT, Chennai. Most of the leaving faculties are not collecting their original certificates from the office, I had fortune to collect them back from Chennai railway station. As a faculty member, you may go for promotion works, which they give first priority than academics. Many faculties are forced to distribute the advertising leaflets in front of Gate examination centres(no matter, you are a Ph. D. from Iisc, IIT, NIT or other eminant institutions). There are no facilities to stay nearby. You can use hostel facility if you are single. Or you have to find some other places by yourself. One good thing I need to say about VIT Bhopal University is that, the payment is on time. There will not be any delay and you will get what you offered during the interview with some minimal deductions. NB: It's your choice if you want to join or not but before join, just have a visit to the institute and talk to any faculties who are working / worked there. Best of luck.

I didn't like any thing at VIT Bhopal, except getting salary on time.

Dislikes

There is no work life balance at all. In name of weird university norms, any rule or regulation may come at any time. Though there supposed to be five days working, you will find 60% Saturdays working and some time Sundays too. You won't get any time for your personal growth. They will take your original documents and won't give them easily if want to apply in some good Institute. Three month notice period will make you pay a lot if you are getting any getting any opportunity in between. There main focus is just fooling students and getting admissions for next year. Whole year management keep making plan for that only.
